How do you organize every brand deal in one place?
Create one record for each partnership and connect the agreement, obligations, payment schedule, and updates to that record. Choose a consistent format, check it against the signed terms, and review it whenever the agreement changes.

Why it happens
Deal organization often breaks down because each new message becomes another place to check. A folder of contracts helps preserve documents, but it does not show which terms have changed or which obligations still need attention. A working record should point back to the evidence behind each important detail.
In StarlightIQ’s 2026 Creator Brand Deal Research, a survey of 154 creators who completed 5+ paid brand deals in the past 12 months, 95% said they keep deal information in two or more places.
Fielded online October 5–6, 2026 through a paid, opt-in research panel. The final sample of 154 passed attention checks and duplicate-response screening. Responses and eligibility were self-reported, not independently verified; results are not weighted to represent all creators. The survey did not measure StarlightIQ’s effect on payments or time spent.
Build a repeatable brand deal record
- Give each partnership a unique record. Use the brand name and campaign period, then add the main contact and the agreement’s status. A spreadsheet row, document, or tracker can work; the important part is using the same structure every time.
- Attach the source agreement. Keep the signed contract, scope of work, and amendments together. Record which document is current. If an important change arrives in a message, preserve that message alongside the existing agreement rather than overwriting the original wording.
- Separate the obligations. List each deliverable, submission date, publication date, approval requirement, and payment installment. Include usage and exclusivity periods as their own fields. If a term is unclear, mark it as needing confirmation instead of entering a guessed date.
- Maintain the record after signing. Update it when feedback arrives, an invoice is sent, a payment is received, or a change is agreed. Add a regular review to your calendar so open obligations remain visible even when no new message arrives.
What to check before accepting another offer
Review active exclusivity restrictions, unfinished deliverables, and the dates attached to each. Keep the exact restriction available beside your summary. If a new offer might overlap, identify the relevant wording and clarify the scope before committing. A category label alone may omit an exception or a condition that matters.
Keep closed deals useful
When a campaign finishes, retain its agreement and payment records in a consistent location. Record any continuing usage period or remaining obligation. Completion of the content does not necessarily mean every recorded term has ended, so use separate fields for content status and the other dates you need to review.
Example (illustrative)
Jordan creates one record for each of three fitness partnerships. A brand changes a submission date, so Jordan keeps the written change with the contract and updates the relevant deliverable. Before considering a fourth offer, Jordan checks the active exclusivity periods across the existing records.
